Ebook Licence & Digital Content Policy
Last updated 27 August 2026
In plain language
Buying an ebook doesn’t transfer copyright to you — it gives you a personal licence to read that title. You own your copy of the licence, not the underlying work. Membership access works the same way but only lasts as long as your plan is active.
What the licence covers
- • Reading the title online in your KnowEdge library, on any device.
- • If purchased (not membership-only access): downloading a personal, watermarked copy for offline reading.
- • Personal use only, for as long as your account exists (purchases) or your membership stays active.
Prohibited uses
You may not:
- • Copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share your access with anyone else.
- • Remove, alter, or attempt to circumvent watermarking or access controls.
- • Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the reader.
- • Use any KnowEdge Publishing content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate an AI or machine-learning model.
- • Use content for any commercial purpose beyond your own personal reading.
Violating any of these may result in account suspension, in addition to any other rights KnowEdge Publishing has under the Terms of Service.
Format & compatibility
Ebooks are delivered as standard EPUB and/or PDF files where available, readable in our built-in browser reader or most third-party e-readers once downloaded.
